About Work Experience
Work Experience exists to form links between education and industry.
Work Experience has a key role in raising attainment and motivation and in improving
the employability skills of students and young people.
We are striving continually to increase the number and range of placements on offer
to students in S4 and S5 and would be delighted to hear from your organisation if
you are in the position to offer work experience opportunities.
It is important that young people not only have a good understanding of what is
required of them to get into the labour market, but gain the skills they need to
succeed in it. Work Experience is a vital element in the preparation of school students
for working life.
