About Workit

Workit is a web application which provides pupils, school and local authority coordinators and Health and Safety officers with a single point of contact as they plan, prepare and take part in work placements. It ensures that everyone is kept informed and can track their involvement in the work placement programme.

Workit provides:

an online booking system
pupil management
document generation
placement monitoring
online reports

History

The programme was first commissioned by 4 Local Authorities - Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Renfrewshire. As a result of its success 25 Local Authorities in Scotland now subscribe to Workit. The programme has been commended in school HMI reports as a system that encourages good practice in delivering work experience.
